Substance Use Counselor/CACII+

Servicios de La Raza (SDLR) provides culturally responsive, essential human services and opportunities. The behavioral health program is an integral component of SDLR, offering behavioral health services to clients from diverse ethnic, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds.

Reports to: Director of Behavioral Health

GeneralResponsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group therapy
  • Responsible for all face-to-face assessment, diagnosis, treatment plans
  • Provide culturally responsive interventions and treatments
  • Complete all necessary client documentation and paperwork according to SDLR standards
  • Maintain timely and detailed clinical records of all client interactions, and other required documentation, which conforms to standards of best practice, OBH guidelines, and SDLR Policies and Procedure
  • Meet billable services standards according to SDLR
  • Complete CCARs for all Indigent and Medicaid clients (if applicable)
  • Maintain confidentiality of client records
  • Provide case management services to clients, as needed
  • Take an active role as liaison between outside agencies and clients
  • Attend networking meetings and connect with businesses, service agencies and community organizations to form partnerships to provide resources for clients
  • Attend all staff trainings, in-service trainings, conferences and development meetings as assigned by supervisor
  • Report tracking and development to the Program Director
  • Attend and participate in weekly meetings, supervisory session and special events
  • Additional tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

Education

· Certified Addictions Counselor, Level II or III or LAC

Experience

· Proficient bilingual Spanish/English oral and written language skills preferred

· Knowledge of the physiology of mental illness and addiction, treatment interventions and

resources

· Cultural relevance and/or sensitivity to populations served

· Computer literate, strong organizational skills, detail-oriented

· Ability to be flexible with work hours to include evenings and weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00 to $48,000.00 /year
